The only 2 I can recall with a moustache is Ash and Dale’s step father, Rupert.

The monopoly game is terrific.  I loved reading the Chance and Community Chest cards.

Today's quote has me stumped.  I'm a little tired tonight, so I'll give it another go tomorrow.

You're one up on me, Judy.  I remembered Ash, of course, but I didn't remember Rupert having a moustache.  I just remembered Paul being struck by how ordinary Rupert was.

It seems to me that the quote must be someone talking to Darcy, but I don't know who or which book

The game is so creative. This had me laughing, "Go to the Study! Go directly to the Study. Do not pass GO. Do not take a jeep and drive away."
Can I use the mini Mt Everest piece? or maybe I should take the hairbrush in order to keep it out of the hands of any tops who might be playing.

That game must have taken you a while. Love the clues, and I can just imagine the fellas adapting a few of the Chance and Community Chest cards as you've done. Definitely one to keep on the games shelf in the family room.

Aha! You had me stumped on the quote until I wandered through a story looking for trivia this evening. Sneaky but wonderfully so. Smile

Wow !
I dint know  i needed a FCR monopoly ! .... What a funny ,creative idea ! I laughed at "go to the study"!! Ha ha ...
And what a way to include most of the stories ... it brings back so many memories of the stories  and if u play and get a card am sure it would bring a smile ....

I think the poem was in the very first book fcr ... About paul missing david ?

Regarding james ... Was it his father or an uncle who told him about phillip and his ranch?? Mmm need to re read the stories ...

The monopoly is amazing !

Great work, Dells, on guessing the quote.  I had given up hope - mainly because I thought it was something said to Darcy, so I was focused on stories that included Darcy.  When that didn't pan out, I was fresh out of ideas.

I had fun reading the monopoly cards Laughing Fun fact, as the youngest sibling nobody wanted to play games with me when I was little, so I would just sit and read the trivia questions and answers, or see if my left or right hand would win in card games Laughing

Now I wanna play FCR monopoly with someone!

@hayjude

I think it's Three Traders, Judy. Is this the one you're thinking of?  Dale found it in the bookcase, and it was written by Paul.

I sit here, rocking slowly on the porch
My coffee cooling quickly beside me
I hear the occasional whinny from a horse
Nosing around in the yellowing grass

Looking towards the trees I'm greeted with the most beautiful golden hues
The white trunks a stark contrast to the color
The birds have fallen silent from the raucous sounds of spring
Heading south for a warmer winter

The house is also silent
A quiet enjoyed after the weeks of backbreaking work of harvest
It’s more silent now than in years past
With the passing of a friend

As with nature, so are we
Making our way through the seasons of our lives
One day it’s spring, the next, summer
And one day you find it’s Autumn

Slower days more than fast
Quiet more than loud
The changing of the seasons
None of us are ready for

Your golden years were beautiful
Just like the aspens in the yard
Winter is almost here
I’m not ready yet.
