Day 20!  Getting close!
The answer to yesterday's quote is The Taverner's Inn.  Ash is letting Gerry experience the Lexan for the first time.

Today's Guess the Quote:

The yelling began halfway across the family room - which actually was progress.

In a baking mood...or 'non-baking' mood?  You and Paul should try my favorite cookies to make at Christmas time.

CHOCOLATE NO-BAKE COOKIES

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Baking Cocoa
2 Cups sugar
1/2 Cup butter or margarine
1/2 Cup milk
1/2 Cup peanut butter (creamy)
3 Cups Oatmeal (not instant)

Directions:
Boil the cocoa, sugar, butter and milk for one to two minutes. (best around medium to medium-high heat)

Add peanut butter and vanilla to boiling mixture (stir constantly)
Pour in oatmeal and mix
Remove from heat and immediately drop by spoonful (one large spoonful per cookie) onto waxed paper.

Let cool and set.
Eat!

Hmmm. I'm giving good consideration to putting my credit card into one in those snow globes  to help me budget better in 2019.

I make those no-bake cookies all the time but with no peanut butter.  They are a delicious treat and with the peanut butter would taste like Reese's PB cups...which I love.  Will try that next time...thanks for the tip!

#2  Olly olly oxen free?  I think it was shouted by Riley when the gang was testing train robbery thoughts (but I could be wrong about that part).

Yes, I feel the same. I realize I don't tend to remember specifics. What I remember more is the general "feel" of things, the relationships and emotions. This is true in my life as well as in what I read and watch. I am always a bit in awe of people who can bring up specific facts and/or repeat lines from movies and stories!

I have the same recipe and mine calls for 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

One little different thing we did was after it was done, instead of dropping by spoonful, we pour it all in a greased, large sheet pan.  Once cooled, we cut it into squares.  Kind of like brownies.

Glad you came to the rescue, Dizzy!
I was just going to say - you can never put in too much vanilla! (-;
